Beyond

A story about everything cancer couldn’t take

Welcome

and thank you for being here

Whether you’ve found your way here before reading BEYOND, after turning its final page, because you or someone you love has been affected by blood cancer, fertility challenges or surrogacy, or you’re simply curious to learn more about my journey, I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.

Writing BEYOND gave me the opportunity to look back on moments that, at the time, simply felt like life unfolding one day at a time. Some were incredibly difficult, others unexpectedly beautiful, and many only made sense when I could finally see the bigger picture.

While the book tells my story, this website and platform exists to continue the conversation.

Here and through the life.beyondthediagnosis on socials, you’ll find the people, organisations and resources that shaped my journey, along with updates, reflections and information that I hope will encourage and support others walking their own path.

However you’ve arrived here, I hope you find something that leaves you feeling a little more informed, a little more hopeful, and reassured that even in life’s most uncertain seasons, there are always people ready to walk alongside you.

Because this story was never about cancer.

It was about everything cancer couldn’t take.

About the Book

What is BEYOND about?

BEYOND is an honest account of a life that didn’t unfold according to plan.

Beginning with a blood cancer diagnosis at nineteen, the book follows the years that came afterwards, not just the medical milestones, but the ordinary moments, unexpected adventures, difficult decisions and relationships that quietly shaped who I became.

Rather than offering easy answers, BEYOND invites readers into the reality of navigating uncertainty while still choosing to build a meaningful life.

It’s a story about finding laughter in difficult seasons, celebrating milestones that once felt impossible, and discovering that life’s greatest chapters are often the ones we never expected to write.

About megan

Hi! I'm Megan, but my friends all call me Meg

If you’d asked me a few years ago whether I thought I’d ever write a book, I probably would have laughed.

journey. My old high school even invited me back to speak to students about encouragement and resilience, but I never quite felt ready. I knew I had stories to share, but I always felt the time needed to be right. That time came in 2025.
